AGENCY
The Department of Health and Human Services is a cabinet department of the federal government. The goal of the agency is to protect the health of the American people. The department's mission is to "enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans." The mission is fulfilled by "providing for effective health and human services and fostering advances in medicine, public health, and social services." The department has a number of programs that provide information and support on Heath Rights, Health Insurance, Prevention and Wellness, Social Services, Research, and much more. The department employs many citizens with roles such as Public Health Specialist, Attorneys, and Research teams.
